It is important that you insure your goods for their full replacement value. If the declared value of your goods is less than their actual value, the value of any claim will be reduced in the same proportion as the declared value.For example, if your goods are worth $60,000 and only insured for $30,000 and you make a claim for a $1000, your claim value will be reduced to $500.
