Sole Use Container (FCL)

FCL is the industry term for Full Container Load. Your goods will be loaded into a steel shipping container which will be for your use only. Depending on the access to your home and your destination, the container can be loaded and unloaded at your residence to avoid additional handling. The other key advantage of a sole use container is that we're able to select and confirm specific shipping dates to assist you with your planning.

Shared Container (GPG)

GPG is the industry term for Groupage Container. This is where your goods will be loaded into a steel shipping container together with other peoples goods going to the same destination country or region. The single biggest advantage of a shared container is the cost as you only pay for the portion of the container that your items take up. For example, if you your items take up 23% of the space, you only pay for 23% of the cost. Whilst you are saving money, you do need to be flexible with the timing of your delivery as shipping is dependant on the consolidation of a number of shipments to fill a container. We have regular shared containers for customers:

Crated (LCL)

LCL is the industry term for Less than Container Load. This is where your goods will be loaded into a wooden crate which in turn is loaded into a shipping container with other general commodities being shiped to the same destination country or region.

It is a good alternative if you don't have enough items to fill a sole use container, there is no groupage container service to your destination, or the transit time of a groupage container does not suit your timeframe. Much like a sole use container, you are able to select and confirm specific shipping dates to assist you with your planning.
